Well when you've never planted before, planting seeds in the grownd and not getting a sprout can be discouraging so to find out which seeds are good take the amount of seeds you plan to grow and take two napkins and get some water from the sink and let it sit for 24 hours to break all excess chemicals down or take some bottled water out and let it sit until it's room temp. Usually the napkins come in like 2 folded together so you should have 4 all together. Take the seeds and put them on the napkins on the bottom, then place the other napkins on top of the seeds. Now pour the water on top of the napkins but dont soak it to the point where water leaks from the napkins if you tilt it but pour just enough then put it in some kind of container that can keep it sealed like a tupperware but leave the lid half way off to give the seeds some oxygen. Now place some towels over the shit so they will get the darkness they need and look under the towels the next day. If you see a white sprout (taproot) emerging from the seeds then you can plant them and water them and hope for the best . Btw NEVER throw the seeds out of the germinating area if they havent had atleast 1 to 2 weeks to prove their liveliness. I learnt this, I was just about ready to toss my seeds out of my germinating napkins but 1 week later a taproot came out, I was surprised .
orangeman Reviewed by orangeman on . Planting seeds Hey. Me and a couple friends gathered together our saved seeds from various perchases. We figured maybe they'll grow, so I've set out to plant them. But I don't know what to do. Should I soak 'em for a day, or just stick them in the ground now? Any advice would be great. Thanx.
