How to harass your politicians and get what you want from them.
Hoffman was a master of rhetoric, as is George Bush's speech writer, and as was Adolf Hitler. In my personal opinion, Adolf Hitler was able to sway the public much more effectively than our dictator George Bush. I believe this for a number of reasons, the primary being the fact that Adolf Hitler didn't *only* try to play on fears and insecurities, as we see with George Bush, who uses HIS "war on terror" to justify his abuse of power. The emphasis being on HIS war, because congress has declared no ar. What Hitler offered to his people was salvation. Like other dictators, Hitler effectively used the media as his tool to spread his nationalistic propaganda. His affectionate title "Der Fuher" , or The Leader, was known in every German home, to every German citizen. Hitler had become the savior of the German people; more disturbing, he had long been planning this clever ploy, his glorious rise to power, even before he was elected chancellor. Such power is the power of charisma, of manipulation; of getting what you want out of everybody. Such power is the power of a politician; the expert conman, the master psychiatrist, the expert in deluding and deceiving peoople on a massive scale by use of media, scandals, cover-ups, scapegoats (hitler had the jews, california had grey davis) and manipulation.
Having brought this to your attention, would you then assume it logical that there might be people doing the very same thing in our society today? Our political figures are conmen. Why do we listen to their lying propaganda? Is it because we see it on television? Is it because we are bombarded with signs and commercials telling you to vote for this person, that this politician squandered away x amount of dollars, that we should kick gray davis out of office to replace him with the fucking Kindergarten Cop????? Who'se business is it that Gary Condit fucked chandra levy? And people have the nerve to say he should be driven out of office for his personal life? Or perhaps it is because we genuinely DO believe that these masters of lying and deceiving the public really DO care about our rights, about our community, about doing what is right for the people? Of course they care about our rights and public safety, and mexican migrant workers, and all of these *important* issues. Of course they don't just care about their public image, or their job which insures them status and a quarter million dollars salary per year? No it couldn't be that our leaders really are greedy, only coming to office to piss off and not do their jobs right. It's all about the "political image", it's all about how "friendly " or "christian" the politician is. It's all about "the children". Politiican john doe says he will not legalize marijuana or consider doing anything of the sort, and offers his vague excuse of "the children". Do you see the madness of this society?
<b>Next time you find an issue that is not being addressed by your politician, a problem in society, all you need to do is get together 1,000 supporters together to call their offices non-stop and take up all their time and resources until you get what you want. If possible, leave several voicemails to bog them down. It must be YOU who tells the politician what to do. To get what you want out of the politians, you must manipulate them, annoy them, do whatever you need to do to them to get your needs met. These idiots get paid too much to not do their jobs, and it's our job as citizens to call them on it.IanCurtisWishlist Reviewed by IanCurtisWishlist on . No, that is not the main focus of the essay. You might've missed the point. I'm expressing my frustration with what happens in society, and I think our president is stupid and not the right person for the job.
The main focus is not to compare hitler to george bush, but to rather make you think. if something is happening in society that you disagree with, bitch to the politicians in a manner which they cannot look past.

Yeah but by using the same old retarded Bush/Hitler hate spew, you've lost all credibility and must now be mocked and then dismissed as a partisian hack, never to be taken seriously again.

t's people like you, with your little self-righteous "i know everything" asshole attitudes, thinking you're always right, that make this forum annoying as hell. why don't you go back to 8th grade, provided you've even graduated.
if you weren't so closed minded; perhaps more open to the topic being explored, it has nothing to do with comparing hitler to george bush, to say "bush is a nazi". THE POINT IS: it's comparing leaders and politicians in general. the way the nazi's manipulated the people on a massive scale , using tactics such as the media, are also being employed by today's leaders. when you turn on the television, and see a political ad saying "don't vote for so and so politician because he smoked a joint in the 70's"; degrading ads.
I am illustrating what I feel is wrong with the nation: the *main focus* of the essay is to say that if you really aren't pleased with what is happening in this society, then you can flood your politicians with complaints and *force* them to listen to you.
now run along back to dumbass.org and flame somebody else.

Beware of George W. Bush. I personally believe Bush is another Hitler. There are many parallels between the Reichstag Fire and 9/11. Don't forget that Bush's family helped fund Hitler.

There will never be another Hitler because he have Hitler to compare future leaders to. The next fascist regime will be the ones claiming to be the anti-Hitler party. Who do you think that is?
Anger clouds judgement. But by all means keep comparing Bush and Hitler and enjoy the backlash that comes with it.
I hear a lot of Democrat congresspeople saying that they need a grassroots swell in order to initiate policy. Why? Because they know that all they need is about 1,000 people with an organized political agenda to allow the media to exagerate it into a massive uprising. Write your congresspeople and organize your grassroots. But if you allow the media to take it from there, your fight is hollow. What the media creates, the media can destroy.
I used to believe the left controlled the media until I realized, it's the media that controls the left.

This is the problem in our schools...........turn out people like the thread starter
Jay Bennish is a social studies, American history and political geography teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado. He joined the faculty in 2000.
On February 1, 2006, student Sean Allen recorded one of Bennish's lectures on his iPod. Allen took his objections regarding Bennish's class to the media, and this developed into an international story.

The recorded class
After being prompted by students to talk about the State of the Union Address given by U.S. President George W. Bush the previous evening, Bennish suggested that Bush's tone was "eerily similar" to that of Adolf Hitler's speeches (in that both were very ethnocentric), and that capitalism was "at odds with human rights".
Bennish also posed the question, "who is probably the single most violent nation on planet Earth?", concurring with a student's response "we [the United States] are". He encouraged students to consider how other nations might see the United States and its allies, suggesting that "to many Native Americans [the American] flag is no different from the Nazi flag," and that Palestinians see the Israelis as "the real terrorists". Speaking about the U.S. "war on drugs" in Colombia, he made a reductio ad absurdum argument suggesting that other countries might have reason to drop chemicals on U.S. tobacco fields "to destroy the tobacco plants that are killing millions and millions of people in their countries every year, and causing them billions of dollars in healthcare costs".
The recording ends with Bennish saying, "I'm not in any way implying that you should agree with me. I don't know if I'm even necessarily taking a position. But what I'm trying to get you to do is to think [â?¦] about these issues more in-depth, [â?¦] and not just to take things from the surface. I'm glad you asked all of your questions, 'cause they're all very good, legitimate questions, and hopefully that'll allow other people to think about those things, too
sounds like the thread started went to his class
