Yeah, others on the board said that I have been a bit paranoid. I sure didn't explain my self well here. I was explaining why I quit in "86". Go to the political forum and check out the Gay marriage thread (last page). I guess with my history, I've been throwing out the more traditional view.

I've been putting together some older but very highend audio gear. When I put the first sections together - my wife complained.....by the time I finished it,....... the neighbors were. We're on an acre.

Yes, I'm home, very tired, don't know why I took a.. red eye out. Didn't sleep till 2:00. Guess Shelbay and I have alot in common. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness you have. I am much more relaxed here now after input from both you, and Gray(from his post). I am glad that I am meeting locals here also, and have no problems with others contacting me, or.......... knowing where I am.

Noticed your posts with Shelbay, and also hope things improve, with sis.

Yeah, I'm afraid hope is thin indeed. She had her third-look surgery almost three weeks back, and while the three rounds of chemo over this past year and a half seemed to have slowed the cancer down for a while, they found in this most recent surgery that it has spread all around her abdomen now. Colon. Probably the liver is next if it's not already involved. Brain and lungs generally follow. We already wonder about metastases to the brain because she seems a lot more foggy just in the last seven days, but that may also be because she's taking so much more pain medicine. Her spirits are surprisingly good, which is more than I can say about my own. Our parents and my little sister are just devastated. (The sick one is my older sister. Just turned 50.)

The only good news is that she doesn't have to endure any more chemo, which was very ravaging. We don't know exactly how long she has, of course, but things generally progress fairly quickly from this point. It breaks my heart, but she has had to put up with so much and so there's some comfort in the fact that she won't have to endure the pain and fear indefinitely. And she's in good hands here at our house. The hospice folks will probably start coming in in the middle of July after we get back from the coast. I'm hoping she'll feel like coming with us.

Remember her--and our whole family--in your prayers, OK? We can use all of those we can get!

How do we file some of these things, in our minds or hearts?

A good friend here, is a Dr. who has been very involved with the seriously ill. He is often, present when the loved one departs. I will never forget the stories that he has related to me.

When the patient starts to shift between this physical world to the next, profound things occur. He observes reactions to visions they were having. One drifting back and forth, turned and said, "it is Him, and He's holding a lamb."

I didn't hear this from him, but there was a terminally ill older man, too weak to be able to move himself much, asked for a chair to be placed by his bed, for he explained that he often had conversations with the Lord, and expressed a desire for Him to have a place to sit. One of the following mornings, the gentleman was found to have parted....partly out of his bed with his head resting in the chair.

God makes His presence very real.....This am after I read this I looked up and asked God.. man, what is your mind?... your word here?....your heart here? ...later on in the morning, Eccl 3. came to mind.

Can I pray for you?

Lord I ask you, Bird needs you,........ her sis needs you. Go and visit them both. I ask also that your spirit would fill the home just as you did in Acts Ch:2. Fill the house first. Keep them safe from the enemy, as you know ~ he seeks for opportunities to torment, especially the vulnerable, and those shifting to the other side. Give them all tokens right now of the fact that you are there. Thank you so much for your quiet voice and gifts that I so often see. Touch the eyes of there understanding ~ to be able to see you clearly. In fact remove all hindrances that have already limited or blocked the Holy Spirits flow, both ways. Also, move upon me for discernment to know how to pray for her and Bird, for the duration.

My folks live in Stonebrier, very close to you. My mother has worked with the terminally ill. If Sis slips into any torment, call her, the work of God thru her will put an abrupt stop to that. I will email you their name and ph #.


Finally,....Do you remember who put Eccl 3 to music?

Think I'm off these boards, I find myself arguing with stupid kids that don't have a freakin clue, and have the audacity to address others with serious medical issues. Thought I'd come on here to learn some things, But I know also, That I must Totally Freakout many here myself.

I wrote back a note on the anxiety thread over in the other area, so read that before you go. Just chill for now and try not to worry too much about what was said there. I think these things have a way of smoothing themselves out.
