how long for preditor mites to take control?

So I have an investaion of spider mites on my indoor. I deployed predator mites to help combat the situation. That was about a week ago. Anyone who knows how long it takes for the predator mites to overwhelm the spidermites and start taking control please let me know. Pretty good infestation of spider mites. Deployed a approximatly 1000 predator mites. Any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

sorry to say predator mites don't work..most of them die before u even receive them..shiet doesnt work.. the ones that probably works the best are spider mite destroyers (black lady bugs)

how long for preditor mites to take control?

 I can help. During my second attemp to grow, I had three awesome plants and was into the first cople of weeks of flower when I became infested with mites. As soon as I saw them I tried to learn of options to fix the problem. First I tried the expensive waya - predetor mites - ladybugs. Within a week I had so many mites that you could see the seb incased bud bolas from across the room!

I read in many places that people in this situation use bug bombs to kill the mites - NO _ NO _ NO _ NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT DO THIS!! the stuff is VERY DANGEROUS to injest. That means smoking too! Anyway, the whole crop was lost but I did do something that actually solved the problem.

I was told that before starting a new crop that I should clean the entire place with bleach to kill eggs and mites left from the previous disaster. I did NOT do this. It seemed like to much hassle and besides, I wanted to see how well my new solution would work. It worked perfectly!

 I bought a garlic clove and oppened it up (removed the opter layer of thin covering). I stuck cloves into the soil so that they were sticking part way out of the soil about every 4 inches around the plants pot. The cloves will sprout and that's ok (they don't use much of the water or nutes to grow). NO MORE MITES!!!!!!!!!! I just harvested my first complete vrop last night. This sollution cost less than $1 and worked eprfectly.

 I should also note that my brother (where I got the idea from) stuck cloves into her planters of palms in his home. He had an infestation that was developed to the point of massive webbing so you know that there were a lot of mites. The garlic even drove them away while the plants were already infested badly.

 :thumbsup:I don't know if it is the smell or what but this method works perfectly!

They start taking control in just a few days, depending on how bad your infestation is. However that's all they will ever do. Do you want to keep battling mites for the rest of your weed farming venture? If so go ahead and waste your money on preditor mites. Otherwise, why don't you bother to search before you waste everyones time. You would have found the only real answer to this is in my reply to someones post which I think was entitled "spider mites". I'm not going to tell you what the solution is, but it costs about $8, and takes about 30 seconds, and will rid your grow of mites forever. You may not believe it. Niether did I until I tried it. I battled them for years and tried everything except bug bombs.

Oh yeah, and 1000 preditors hardly touched the infestation in my 3' x 2 1/2 x 8' closet.

Hey I want to thank everyone for there insight and may try some of the different options mentioned on next batchs. The preditor mites I deployed when originally getting the plants finally kicked in and drasticly cut back the number of spider mites probley saving the crop. I think it was partly due also to the destoryer beetles deployed at the same time of the preditor mites. One note that may be worth something to some of you is that when the spider mites just started webbing up the tops of the plants real bad I began misting the plants every few days as I had read this aids in the preditor mite cycle. Within three days I was seeing no new webbing and drastic decreases in spider mite numbers when I gave further inspection. I can't say for sure that it wasn't just that the preditors and destoyers starting to kick in but I did notice drastice changes after misting. So you can take it for what its worth to you just my findings. Any more findings would be happily accepted. Thanks. Peace. dnups215

Too bad you spent all that time, only to have to do it again, and again, and again....

Why don't you spend 30 seconds and rid yourself of them for good? I don't understand why people like to spend time with spider mites.
