i was just installing a game onto my computer and the disc drive i have always spins the disc really really fast but this time it was making alot more noise then normal it was still working fine tho then all of the sudden i heard a loud BANG and my drive jammed. when i finaly got it open my disc was in a hundred pieces. im pissed when are they gonna start putting warnings on these things saying they can destroy your disk and ruin your nite. my disk drive is destroyed wont worl anymore and i just got this computer. y the hell do they always make things so shitty these days?

it was a diablo 2 disc. and its a dell optiplex GX260. good news tho i fixed the drive i took it apart and managed to get all the lil parts of the disc that were still stuck inside and it works fine now. just gotta check my disc for cracks next time. i was pissed for a second cause my case fan jsut broke on me last week. and i have to order a new one of those from dell didnt wanna have to get a new disc drive to woulda sucked

then i suggest if anything, yal both call and comlpain to blizzard (maker or w/e of diablo) and tell them how their disks fucked up your extremely expensive, high end cd drives and you want your 700 dollars back, or else.

they make the drives now so fast that they just are too much for the disks... its not rlly blizzards fault... ive seen it on the discovery channel

Yup, Mythbusters is the shit. I have to ask, was this a CD? I've heard of this happening with CD's, but not with a DVD yet.

Damn I can't think of another game that has enjoyed this much popularity after 10 years. Man I still love that game!
Anyway back to the point a cd of mine killed my cd-writer a while back, but it was one of those funny-shaped promo cd's.
