You cannot add ferts to you soil or buy soil that already has it in, if you are putting seedlings in it or sprouting seedlings. They cannot handle it for the first few weeks. I didn't read all the replys, but this looks like a nutrient problem to me. You may find the chart helpful that I just posted titled "you need this"
