a fool hath said in his heart there is no GOD
Brad,
Atheism is a way of life - a method of thinking that relies on reason and logic rather than superstition.
Everybody, including yourself, was born an Atheist. Religion must be learned. This does not mean that the Atheist knows all the answers. In fact, the opposite is quite true. Most Atheists have had the accusation, "You think you know everything!" thrown at them by religionists, while it's religion itself that claims to have a monopoly on the truth.
I don't mind anybody "attacking" Nietzsche for some of his ideas, as long as they know what he wrote. One of his assertions was that there is no one "truth", and he certainly would have encouraged his students to question everything he wrote as well. I am sure that he would have hoped that people applied the same logic to his words as they would have to any other.
Of course, when it comes to their business, religions expects the flock to to reject this and accept their dogma on faith. It (religion) is a gigantic fraud that is the greatest folly man ever invented.
That's one explanation of my lack of belief in religion.
Have a good week!
