There are other recipes here that are much better. Do a search for "pest sprays", "mites", "thrips", "spidermites", etc. You will find a bunch of posts that can provide you with very good info.

The postman did an excellent write up on insecticides. I have it bookmarked on my other computer...if you cant find it write me back and ill stop being lazy and go get that thread link for ya.....just search under the postmans profile for it, as it should be easy to find...peace

yes...
soapy water is good... for bugs... it is a very mild mixture... 1 or 2 drops per spray bottle....
do not spray flowering plants without doing further research...
like seedless said, there are some great recipes around these forums... including garlic/clove blended mixtures..
