New room idea

OK so i am sittin hear stoned and thinkin of a new room...SO here goes ..

Room will be in the basement of my house in a spare room. I will build me a 4x4x8 room out of 2x4's. Take some old panneling i have laying around for the sides and door. Going to cut a hole in the top center for the exhaust, it will be atached to a carbon scrubber than ran out a dryer vent by 4'' duct. ? should the scrubber be in the box or out of the box?
On the front side at the bottom i will have a hole for the intake. Im thinking a squirl cage an some 4'' duct ran into it? Cover the inside with mylar .Going to be using a 1000 W mh/hps. If light gets to hot i have the option of another fan for my hood..do i want it suckin the heat out of the hood or blowing the air on the bulb?? Thinkin maybe there would be away to use my central air for some of this without circulating it throught my house. Im wanting to minimize smell to the max. Wanting to do 6-8 plants in 3-5 gal. nursery pots.... Well any suggestion will greatly help . Thanks

you want to suck the air over the bulb.also i would go with 6" ducting and 6"inline fan,and scrubber to go with it.i like my scrubber out of the chamber,gives more room inside.you will need to air cool your hood a 6" inline fan with 6" ducting would be ideal.your intake should be the same size as your exhaust.

ok my grow box is in a spare room. i want my scrubber outside my box but still in my room then my intake will be from my central air and it is 6'' so i want the top one 6'' with the fan outside my box with ducting running to my scrubber hanging outside my box pulling the air out??? is that right? and also how much smell does your scrubber remove?? also i could make a T and use my exhaust fan to run another duct pulling the heat from my hood. would that work?

1st...your scrubber what you want to do is build a box for your scrubber to fit in, run a duct out of your cab to the box.hook a duct to your scrubber and run it out of your box with a fan/blower sucking air out.that way you scrub 100% of the air in your chamber, make sure the box is sealed.

2nd your intake..will your chamber be able to get fresh air when the central air shuts off?
3rd you want to have a second fan/blower for your light.i would go with a 6"inch inline fan mounted out side your cab sucking air through your hood,also use 6" ducting(most hoods have 6" flanges).you want to run your duct back out of the cab so you do not suck out stinky air.
i use passive intakes in my chamber and just let the central ac cool the room so the light gets cool air and i get cool air into my passive intakes.
this works ok i am planning to get one of those portable ac's.that way i don't have to run central ac as much.but with current sety up i can keep my light 15 inches away from canopy

thanks man understand now anyway you could take me a few pics of your setup? you want to run your duct back out of the cab so you do not suck out stinky air. ??? can you explain?? and why do i need a box for my scrubber to go in?

if you keep your scrubber out of your chamber you will want to build a box becouse the scrubber will work much more efficent,and you can add another duct if you need to filter another chamber if necesarry(like a drying chamber of veg chamber).alot of people do just hang the scrubber in the chamber,but i like having as much room as possible inside my chamber.if you do not run your ducting from your air cooled hood outside your chamber you will be sucking unclean air from inside your chamber.
