yeh, the tube goes in the water so the smoke filters through the water and the water cools the smoke. if it wasnt in the water, you would be using a pipe with water in the bottom...

It works great, the downpipe slides off at the middle making a dettachable downpipe kinda thing, and the screen is at the middle of the cable, so theres no problem getting heat to it. the smoke is smooooooooth, i smoked a little turd of hash thats really potent and harsh, with pipe it kills my throat but with this thing i did the whole thing in 2 huge hits with ease. i got stoned as hell from it too hehe Rating: 5
