I think you got some really good advice here. Depressed and obsessed were precisely the two words that came to my mind when I read your post, too. Definitely go talk to someone professional who can help. And learn to do some behavioral techniques so you can work on breaking the cycle of those obsessive thoughts. By continuing to obsess about that situation, you're simply reinforcing the obsession in your brain, which is why this situation won't easily go away on its own.
