NYCD & The Hog

anyone have experience growing NY city diesel or The Hog? They are both strains I really want to grow and try, for some reason they both are really appealing to me. Also would any of the two strains be a bad choice for a first grow? Thanks,

I would do HOG first. NYCDiesel is not the easyest grow. Plus it can be a little tall.Not a big yield either.
But HOG is a fat little indica plant.

than I may have to start with HOG and than to the diesel. I was going for more of an indica plant and I see the hog won best indica strain in CC 2002.

My friend grows ESCD which is east coast sour diesel...its clone only but if you are trying to grow ANY of the DIESEL family...prepare yourself for HEAVY ODOR....your gonna need Carbon scrubbers...PLUS some. If your not in a PRIVATE are....I dont recomend it...unless you have extreme ODOR control
Plus its a tough grow in comparison to the HOG

Have to follow the rest of the mentality here, that HOG would be a much better choice for an early grow than NYCD. However, the HOG is supposedly nothing to really write home about unless you get that ONE prized pheno, and from what I hear, finding the prized pheno of NYCD is much easier than getting the same from the HOG.

About the ECSD though, definitely not clone only anymore. Rez has had the seeds released for awhile (and is supposedly the best ECSD next to the original). Reeferman also has the ECSD seeds, and one other breeder that I can't think of right now.

I would highly recommend the ECSour Diesel over the NYCDiesel. It is way better!
