Hippies had an alright thing going, but I think they got it wrong.

Love is good, but it can't be layed on like that. I don't love random strangers, and it's unfair to expect them to love me.

I'm all about that Yin-Yang thing. Except, I think Yin-Yangs are dumb as hell. Just a little too "filthy beatnik" for me.

We had some trouble with the interstate cop who said he saw us driving while obliterated and became frustarted by the way she wouldnt stop so he called out all the other cops and had a high seed chase and crashed my baby into the side of a tree thats when i think they mighta planted marijuana in the suitcase the court appointed lawyer told us to cop a plea, so we copped a plea.

I, too, was a few years too young to be a hippie, but I witnessed the movement as a young teen. They created a large social revolution in the country.

IMO, the "free love" was a protest of the societal expectation of virginity until marriage, and the reality that many young people were coming home from Vietnam in body bags.

The only STD that I recall was V.D. which was treatable with penicillin.
