I agree, I don't consider myself a hippie but I surley don't care for the "American Dream". All I want from life is food, shelter, and happiness, cannabis brings this.

i have to say that i am a neo hippy. my parents were hippies (but slowly grew out of it as i got older). i remember my childhood days riding in the back of our brown van (that had horses painted on the sides and curtained windows) to go camping in the mountains, my folks and thier friends passing around a joint. bathing in a river and sleeping on a tarp under the stars between my parents. i was brought up on Green party protests and my father strumming his acoustic and taking me to drum circles.
i see myself joining a comune where we grow our own organic vegetables and smoke around the peace fire as i continue my art quest and explore its limits.
i feel one with nature and exploratory art, freedom from materialism and profound individualism.
my mind is always stirring with profound thoughts, big ideas, wonder, philosphies and curoisities.
a new friend of mine had the habit of making fun of hippies, but after we started hanging out, he said to me 'you have me entranced, you truely are a hippy. i guess i should quit making fun of them'
