V shaped scrog
I just came into possesion of an old entertainment center that I gutted and planned on using for scrog. The cab is about 5' tall by 2'x2'. I was concerned that this cab wasnt big enough to really give scrog a good try but then I read a post by the postman saying you can do a v-shape. I was thinking because I have a lot more vertical space that this would be a good way to max yields outta this cab. My question is has anyone actually tried the semi vertical scrog? My concern is that if the surface area is not flat then the higher up bud sites will shadow some of the lower ones decreasing yield and making scrog pointless. Any suggestions/tips/ideas? If worse comes to worse I might do a trial run with this cab or just turn it into my mother cab and build a bigger box. Thanks for all the help -:rasta: Diz

V shaped scrog
I saw a thread in here awhile back, where someone had a V-shaped scrog, the pics he tagged to it looked very impressive ... try a Scrog Search, maybe you'll run across it ... :smokin:

V shaped scrog
Thanks reaper, i seached for awhile and finally found some pics but it still doesnt seem to make that much sense. What i gathered was that you just move the plants that seem to be growing taller to the edges and leave the shorter ones in the middle.... I dont know I think I am going to end up just building a bigger box that are the specs I need rather than trying to make do with a smaller cab, instead im gonna turn the cab into my mother cab on the bottom and my clone cab on the top:rasta:

V shaped scrog
if I'm not mistaken, the idea of the V-scrog, is to compensate for the way the lumens fade farther from the bulb ... strongest in its center ... :smokin:

V shaped scrog
Yeah i remember reading something on overgrow. They shaped the screen 2 fit the light, so it was lower near the middle and higher @ the edges so they all got the same lumens. Sounds a good idea but may be harder 2 upkeep.

V shaped scrog
in a 2x2 scrog you could have a max yeild of 9.6 oz if you go by the 2.4 oz per square foot that expert scroggers boast. i had a 2x2 scrog but the most i could manage was about 5.5oz. i have no experience with v or vertical scrog personally but i have seen a few vertical scrogs that looked amazing. i am gonna try to find some of the info i've seen on vertical scrog and i'll post a link here if i can find it.
