    Help with DWC nutrient schedule.

Can some one recommend a flowering ppm schedule for a plant in a DWC hydro setup using advanced nutrients grow, micro, and bloom. I was thinking of starting at 900ppm and going up to 1200ppm for aggressive flowering. Do these numbers sound about right? The nutrient feeding schedule is a 1-1-1 ratio for flower and bloom, as opposed to the old school 3-2-1 for veg, and 1-2-3 for flower. Does anyone have any experience with the 1-1-1 ratio? I have heard that plants in DWC should get half strength nutrients but that seems a little fishy to me. Any tips would be appreciated. thanks.

1-2-3 for flower will increase yeild and potencey in flower stages IMO. I would transition them w/ a 1-1-1 the week before the switch. 900 start and a 1200 finish sounds good to me.

Thanks for the reply. When adding water to the resevoir, how far should the ppm be able to drop from the setpoint before adding more nutrient to jump it to the correct level? lets say its at 1000 ppm to start, then water level drops an inch and after the water fill its at 950ppm, should it be corrected to 1000 right away or should the nutrients be used up first and then be replenished?

Well here is what I do.

    Fresh nutes-1100 ppm SAT.
Top w/ ph adjusted RO MON
Top w/ ph adjusted RO and a slight nutrient mix WED
Top w/ ph adjusted RO FRI

Some start w/ a low nurtient mix and increase during the week

    Help with DWC nutrient schedule.

1st month of flower, I run around 1500ppms and decrease
to around 1200-1300ppms until I stop nutes 1-2 weeks brfore harvest.

I agree with snoop on the 3-2-1...however I offer you an alternative...try Lucas method...16b-8m-0g values represent ml per gallon. top off with ph'd water until you have used 100% of the amount of water you started with, then change with fresh nutes...If you get past 10 days close to 2 weeks before replacing that much water, mix and add fresh nutes anyway.

    good luck

Thanks for the reply's. have you tried this with advanced nutrients? The Lucas method that is. And how does the plant not need any of the grow during bloom without adding nutes that are needed to hold the desired ppm level using lucas method. I'm a little confused. I understand they dont use much nitrogen during bloom. Could I use the the 3-2-1 ratio with the lucas method?

Listen to latewood. I'm running lucas formula and there is enough nitrogen in the micro and bloom for the plants. I have run almost exactly like he said and this grow is awsome. When the plants suck up water they don't get all the nutes and they give off waste, So the PPM's can stay about the same. Trouble is you can't tell how much is waste, so when you have use as much PH water as was first in the rez replace it. I'm flushing now with just PH water and the PPM's are 300 in just waste. My 6 plants in one system drink a gallon a day so I replace every 6 days. Small 6 gallon rez. The new plant starting next only drink a gallon every 3 days. About 15 days but I change at about 10 days just so they have fresh nutes. Snoop is on the other side and is right too, just another method. It's playing with it and see what works for you. Try one way this time and the other next time and see which works best for you. Good luck.

    Help with DWC nutrient schedule.

here is a thread w/ a link to explanation
    http://boards.cannabis.com/showthrea...ighlight=lucas

If you go up top and search lucas...it pops up several threads that discuss different methods using 3-part. and the Lucas method.

AN and GH 3-part are the SAME thing.

locnar was pretty much right in his summary.

anyway, If you read those threads in lucas>search
    you will be set.
