How does 1 properly cure his buds??

I have always cured my bud by hanging the plant upside down in a dark closet, but I have heard someone say to use mason jars? Anyone have different ideas that have worked great for you? Any help will be greatful!!

You dry it upside down in a closet...you cure bud in mason jars. Different things. You can cure bud but putting it in mason jars and leaving it in a dark place. Opening the jar once a day to let some fresh air in. From what ive been told some weed is best after curing for up to 30days.

A good cure breaks down chlorophyl and other chems used by the plant. This makes the planty taste and smell go, and you get the "weed" flavour and smell.

It also incrases phycoactivity in the THC. Fresh THC isnt has potent as cured THC.

Curing makes the weed reach its full potential.

So how long should I cure the buds for in the mason Jars? 30 days the most or what?

Im still on my first grow but i have recieved freshly harvested bud that i dried and cured. It was some AK47 (avatar pic btw) and i cured it for 2 weeks and then start smoking it. But i must say the last bud i smoke of it was the best, and i believe that is because it cured longer. Hope this helps a lil....

you should cure for at least a week. but i've heard that the longer you cure the betterr it gets.

The grow book I have says that the best bud is that which has been cured for eight weeks. The drying time can be included in this eight weeks, so dry for a week, mason jars for 7 weeks.
