Flying on a Plane While High

But if you're high and they suspect (on the ground) they can't stop you from flying without due cause as I said in my earlier post.
If you're high and they suspect (in the air) then they can only detain you until the plane lands.
I had a friend who flew from London to Miami, and he got stoned ON the plane, using a shotty in the bathroom. The flight attendant smelled the cigarette smoke he had afterwards (it didn't matter what she smelled, smoking is prohibited) and they 'detained' him for the flight (which was pointless, where could he go at 30 000 ft?) At Miami he got arrested for breaking federal law for "smoking tobbacco on a commerical aircraft" and got a fine of $500. Anyway the point of my story is that they didn't even know that he was stoned off his rocker! He says he was so stoned couldn't even speak properly and they didn't notice. We both agree that if they didn't realize that he was smoking he wouldn't have gotten arrested cause no one would've noticed he was high, even though it was quite obvious.
