Smoking w/ older people, family members

i have a question: how did you bring up that you wanted to smoke with an older member of your family, specifically parents? ive smoked with older people before but i didnt really know them. i know for a fact that my dad smoked alot of pot when he was younger (he told me), up until i was born actually. i really want to smoke with him and i have the opportunity to because my mom and sisters are going away for a week on vacation and its just me and my dad in the house. for anyone that smoked with their parents.. how did you ask? i was just thinking about making some brownies and giving him one but i dont want him to freak out or anything. should i just roll a joint and say something like "hey dad you wanna come smoke a fat ass j with me?" like im joking around and if he says yes then its all good but if he says no then ill be like nah im only kidding?

Just ask him nicely. Don't try to spring a brownie on him. Let him have the choice like you have the choice yourself. THEN he'll know you're grownup enough to smoke with. If he wants to, he'll toke with you. If he doesn't, then he'll tell you why man to man. He sounds like a cool dude who deserves a straightforward approach.

Ive smoked with my ma, and found it real uncomfortable.
But I have also smoked with my girls parents and had a very chilled fun time.. it depends who it is and how much you smoke imo.

Just wondering what everyone thinks about smoking with someone older or someone older in their family. I've smoked with 3 of my uncles and I felt that it was terribly uncomfortable and pretty much ruined my high when I was smoking with two of my uncles. My other uncle is pretty cool, so that was actually fun. Anyone on here ever smoke with someone older in their family?

Well I must say,my problem is in the other direction..toking with younguns ! lol Us older stoners,often feel un-comfortable tokin with younguns..lol..we feel the generation gap and it's hard to relate to all of this new-fangled stuff that y'all younguns are into these days..lol

I've been tokin since '72 and I'll be turnin 47 soon,I have several friends who toke,that are older than me,by a decade or 2. I git along with them better than I do with young tokers and I dang sure git paranoid around younguns 18 and under,in fact-I won't toke with them if I can help it,because they crack under pressure from their parents and cops,much easier than us folks who've been around the block--a time or 2..lol.

So next time yer tokin with us old stoners,just remember that they're probably un-comfortable too..lol. :stoned:

Torog, I'm kind of a youngin' (22), but I think you would be awesome to toke up with. I've read plenty of your posts and you seem like one kick ass fellow! You remind me of my buddy's Dad/parents... really laid back, seem like a country guy. Very fun to just get smoked up with them and talk about old times.. while I try to follow along! lol

ya I love smoking with my ma dukes she rolls the smallest piners ive ever seen and gets stoned out here tree,Then she starts cooking like a mad women it's fucking great....also ive smoked w/ teachers when i was in high school.I used to sell bags to most of my friends parents its reefer madness everyones toking on that shizzal.

I love smoking with middle-aged people because they were teenagers in the 60s and 70s and they have the best stories.

I used to toke up, and occasionally still do, with my best friends dad. He was a old school smoker from the 70's and was cool as hell. He always had a good joke to tell and you NEVER heard the same one twice. Other than him, I have to say no to toking up w/older people. Its not that I don't want to its just the uncomfortableness of it.

I'm gonna date myself,this happend in 1978.A friend and I were workin on his car at his greatgrandmoms house (the only place with a garage) one winter day and she caught is tokin up. scared the crap outta us, all she did was laugh and asked us if she could get a hit,as it had been many years since she had seen any much less smoked! We were so floored!!! she looked at us an asked "What you kids think ya'll invented smokin pot?"
The lady was 93 when this happend,so I suspect she was smokin somewhere in the 20's or 30's!!
