There is a major difference between FORCED flowering and flowering naturally which is why the moon and starts don't affect an outdoor grow. When forcing the plant into flower it is doing so un-naturally thus the reason for the need for sticking with a strict light regimen.

When you say "complete" darkness, will the red LED from the fan be an issue? I've tested any light leaks and there are none....except for that little red light from the fan which really doesn't illuminate anything, BUT....its not "complete darkness" like you guys say.
