Who lives near Florence?
I'd drive to myrtle, I'd drive to Bluffton, I'd drive to NC, NJ, NM, fucking Alaska if someone could get me high.
Why can't I find any friends?
(actually I am going to drive up to Mi in August to score, cuz there is no WEED in SC.)

Weed is EVERYWHERE you just need a connect. Now QUALITY WEED is a different matter. When in Columbia try Club Rio's, the Vista, 5 Points ( Pavlovs ). Good Luck.

the key here is quality. i could go down to pavlov's and buy that shitweed just as easily as i could get it from some wannabe gangsta near allen/benedict. when you get past 21 you want something better than swag. the towers are gonna fall, that is where i learned to smoke the fine ganja back in 1983. the sunsets over cayce were amazing...........

Scooter you make a good point. Swag and shitweed can be found just about anywhere and the risk is high when you look too hard to find it. I certainly dont recommend running around town looking to buy from anyone you meet. Wont take long before you bump into the wrong person that way. You gotta know who you are talking too. I suggest spending some time at those establishments and enjoying the atmosphere and maybe partaking in the herb with some newfound friends. In time you will know what's up. You seem to know what you are talking about in my area but you missed the fellows that were near King Park-RIP. They were in the news again last week and they paid a huge price for being too obvious. Bad location but GOOD WEED. Now days Im sticking with the club scene. Best of luck to all smokers who endeavor to find a new connection it's always a risk.

I have always had issues with getting a source. Here in the most conservative part of the state (the Upstate), it's a real bitch trying to find. Like Johnny Lethal, we've transported some back from Illinois on several occasions. Now that's been the most risky. We do have a friend of a friend kind of thing that we go to now, but the real problem is that we're getting the markup of the markup of the markuped product. Combined with the difficulty with getting these people to react with any kind of certainty and the fact that we go weeks without, we've been forced to do the drive around and ask anyone that we think may be able to hook us up. We've done the headshop thing and spend several hundreds before even hinting at needing some, but all in all, have never been sucessful in getting a different source.
However, recently, I have befriended a Mexican-American who may be able to help. It's a delicate balance between coming out and asking for it versus hinting around that I smoke and need some.
A few years ago, I suffered a blow to my spine. I have 4 discs removed with stored bone in its place. For years prior to the surgery I would have to turn to prescription narcotics for limited relief (which made me sick). A family member introduced me to the incredible healing power of weed (believe it or not, I had never tried it until after this surgery in my mid-30s). I don't get sick, I have no "hang over", and I can actually move like a normal person (I mean my roller coaster days are over, and I can't play sports, but I can certaintly get out of bed).
Until our laws in SC become as liberal as those in California, I'm stuck with the flake that I have now and the risky business of trying to find someone reliable, with quality product, to supply. Grow you say? We have children and frequently host political and other high-profile events at our home.
