shotgunning might be a bit more efficient (there's probably still some thc in the smoke you'd otherwise exhale), but it's nowhere near twice as efficient. The actualy 'blowback' smoke will have much less than half; the reason it works so well is that you also burn more weed while doing it (that's why the joint is in the person's mouth). So, added efficiency yes, double no.

If you really don't like the idea of putting a lit joint backwards in your mouth, you can skip it; just take a big rip, have the other person exhale, then breathe into his/her mouth. This is also referred to as a shotgun, at least around here.

.... shotguns around here are where you stick a joint/sweet/bowl in your mouth backwards when it's lit and blowing fresh un-used, un-inhaled smoke into the other person's mouth, and the reason this gets you so shitty is the person blowing on the joint/sweet/bowl is generating a whole hell of a lot more heat/smoke then you ever could by yourself... "blowbacks" seem like a waste of time to me, why not just hit the joint/sweet/pipe then make out with the girl?

And to they guy who said what's the point, I found that the smoke was really nice and cooled and it might not get you as stoned but it definittely got me buzzing. And its a hell of alot nicer smoking out of someones lips than a joint!

I was wondering if a pipe has the same cooling effect, I really wanna get one I wish I could get a bong but they'r too indiscreet.

umm you loose most of the potency from the first hit, so there pretty much getting shit, if you wunna get higher from less learn to ghost your hits, I've timed myself and ghosted a bowl in 1min 30secs, and it was a fat bowl...

you dont have to "seal your lips" around the other, i mean, i dont only smoke with girls but boys also, even. use your hands to keep the smoke but easily allowed towards the other. you can even do it without hands and blow the smoke straight in from a small distance. yes it works though the hands idea is not bad either. don't worry about the hot ash falling on your tongue. blow off the ash just before you turn the joint around to stick it in your mouth. throw all the lung capacity in you have. if your "partner" is a diehard you can keep your hands locked together like you had, and he/she will quickly blow out the smoke after a few seconds of "blow back"/shotgun/shot before taking the next. and in case you wanna play with second-hand smoke, you can form a coalition with friends, start with giving somebody a shot, who holds in all that smoke and gives a blow back to the next, who uses it also etc. etc. soudns weird yeah.

you can even give a blowback with tulips, you know, the huge marijuana-orbs. they are like a punch of death lol.

when you hold in all the smoke until there's hardly anything left. It's not too healthy as far as tar in your lungs, but do what you want. Just don't wonder why you're constantly hacking up gunk!

Yeah thats true when I'm with my mates I uaually do traffic lights (hold the toke down untill the spliff gets all the way round) but I don't think it gets me much more stoned. I think deeply inhaling and holding it for about 5or6 secs works best for me.
