Try thinking about sex in terms of tap water. Unfiltered tap water can be generally safe. However, filtered (like Brita) water, while not always stopping every impurity , is probably safer then tap water...
Does it make sense? It is stupid not to use something that is cheap, effective, highly customizable, and very slightly uncomfortable just because it isn't 100% effective at doing everything.
