    What's going on?

Okay, today me and my friends were going around throwing water balloons at any pedestrians because it's the last day of school. Well, in front of this restaraunt a block or two away from the Junior and High schools, there were a bunch of kids absolutely soaked in shaving cream. I sort of felt bad and then I saw Marlie, a girl I'm good friends with and want to go out with. She was fucking covered and looked miserable because of it. As soon as she saw me she waved and smiled way big and I got in front of her because my friends were throwing water balloons at her. Well, once they finally got the idea to stop, I turned around (soaking wet) and started cleaning Marlie off. I got most of the shaving cream out of her hair and off her clothes so that it was just the odd white spot and was giving her a hug when this fucking freshman came up to us both with a can of shaving cream. As soon as I saw the can I said "Dude, seriously, don't." and he looked me straight in the eye, paused, smiled, and doused Marlie and me with shaving cream.

Well, I reflexively grabbed him by the throat and hit him as hard as I could in the eye before I realized that we were in front of a restaraunt and that someone was going to call the cops. This kid didn't understand that, and he proceeded to beat the fuck out of me while I ran a bit away from Marlie in case one of us end up bumping her or whatever. He whooped the hell out of me before the owner came out screaming "IF I SEE ONE MORE FUCKING SWING, I'M GOING TO CALL THE FUCKING COPS!" so he ran off and I just stood up straight, dusted myself off, and went to go rid Marlie of the new shaving cream. She was so happy and kept asking if I was okay (Which I am, I don't even think I got a bruise...thank God he blessed me with a thick skull) while I was getting the shaving cream out of her hair. Then I wiped the blood off my chin (just a tiny little scratch, seriously) and went to go clean myself off before hugging Marlie and giving her a kiss on the cheek goodbye.

Now, I'm suprised that I swung at that kid like that because normally I wouldn't be THAT pissed about getting covered in shaving cream. I really went Crazy...And Marlie seemed soooo happy after that instead of the glum girl I got out of my friend's car for. What do y'all think of that?

Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

Times change, me and Paige are really good friends. Brother and sister and that kicks ass.

But, to answer your question, not you for sure.

So, if I invited you to an all-day concert at the ampitheater, where I have an extra fourth-row ticket, you wouldn't go with me?

"Girls get excited with violence" my ass. That's baloney.

She probably liked it a lot that you made efforts to defend and protect her, but that's silly that she liked the violence. The fact that you went after that shaving-cream goofball was more likely scary. And frankly if you were such a strong, tough guy, I don't think you'd have been throwing water balloons at anyone or wouldn't have been in circumstances where there was a shaving-cream attack. That's adolescent silliness. (Which is understandable considering your age and those exciting out-of-school circumstances.)

I think you can redeem yourself with grownup behavior in the future. And you've exhibited a gallant streak that's quite promising. Call her up or email her just to express your concern and make sure she's OK. Ask her what she's doing this summer. Then take her out on a date and be a courteous gentleman.

    Thanks for the advice, budgirl.

The adolescent silliness was actually something new for me. I didn't think of myself as a tough, strong guy anyway. I'm actually quite shocked my first reaction was to do that!

We had already planned to go to a movie tomorrow...and I'm always a gentleman We'll see what happens!

Glad to hear back from you, gentleman!

You just reacted from your gut, and that happens. I shouldn't have used such a "momma" tone on you for natural kid behavior.

When I was your age, on the night before the last day of school, we took a cow up to the second floor of our high school and left it--with hay and water--for one of our favorite teachers. We tied her to the desk, wearing a wreath of silk flowers, which, fortunately, the cow didn't eat. And we sprayed cans of silly string all over the opposite end of the teacher's room and on everyone we saw the next day. Sounds sorta tame now that I look back on it. Still, I remember how spirits are high at the end of the year.

Have a good date at the movie--and a good summer!
