Explain this a little if you dont mind, I'm sure I have the wrong idea of what you mean to say.

The question that comes to mind is, does this mean your in favor of manditory service time in order to vote, get a drivers liscense, a passport, qualify for citizenship and stuff along those lines?

Of course, thats the extreme view of your statement, but the more practical view of it is, does this mean that mean your in favor of the draft for reasons it will build public interest in the GOV's policies?

Yes, on the latter, Marlboro... Mandatory service shouldn't be a requirement for other rights and privilages.

It's about engaging the system in a "real and results" way. Vietnam vets, a good many drafted, helped to end that unjust war. We're starting to hear and see growing dissent from our troops in the current unjust war in Iraq.
