Why point people in fucking groups?
Labels are seriously fuckin pointless, I've had to deal with that shit all my life, I wear black and only black unless I need to wear a diff color. I listen to metal, psychodelic, r&b, hip-hop, trance, and a lot of classic rock, and blues, and for some reason everyone sees me as the goth kid, just for the fact of me wearing black, but its not like I wear trench coats or anything, I wear normal clothin that happens to be black, and I dress pretty ghetto most of the time...
Labels sucks, and the word poser pisses me off more than anything, don't judge a book by its cover.

See, i may be the reverse of this stereotype. I like heavy music and I have some concert shirts and of course wear jeans, but I never painted my nails black or any other shit like that (nothing against anyone that does, I just don't care for it myself). Overall I dress like a regular guy, but whenever I got to a concert (like NIN last summer), I get treated like a frat-boy who's out of place. I don't care though. I allways have a blast, but it does get tiring catching attitude from people. Like I'm not really a fan or something.

I fucking hate that shit man...i kno what u mean....im always getting thrown in to stereo-typical groups....i dress in baggy clothing, nothing outrageous, im pretty clean the way i look, but because of me listenin to rap most of the time and just because i wear Ecko, im labeled as a wanna be gangster...i dont talk like one, i know i dont live in the ghetto, and i dont go around flaunting guns, drugs, or anything of that matter.
Its just cause i listen to hip-hop and dress a certain way, even if u guys saw how id dress, you guys would be able to tell i dont dress to much like a thug, i admit i wear baggy clothes but nothing like my t-shirt hanging down to my knees bullshit. I dont get thrown into groups a lot but iv noticed when it has happened and i have taken offense.
I really hate how if i like listening to "gangster" music...ima gangster...y? i dont understand why people have to be, what they listen to.....
if anything im a pothead but i still attend college so its like i still have my shit straight

Honestly, I don't hate labelling or being labelled. I admit I am guilty of calling people goths, punks, "mooiboys", lesbians, christians, germans, retards, teachers, stuudjes, geeks and that kind of stuff. I also don't mind being called a stoner, a junk or other, as long as there's at least a little truth in it.
I'm pretty self-confident I guess. Maybe that helps. I even dare to say I'm at peace with myself and who I am. I wouldn't want to change myself for the world.

If you wanna listen to that kind of music for whatever reason you choose, thats your choice, go for it, I dont care, I could careless if you walked your ass right off a cliff. The thing is that if your neighboor could hear it, your bringing him into the situation as well, trust me you dont want to start beefing with neighboors early, it makes this difficult. I know that if you were blasting that horrible music(remember this is all my opinion, im not attacking you) then I would sure as hell come over and bitch you out if you were just being inconsiderate.
As to your groups thing, its just the way things are and have been. There is always going to be classifications for people to put you in so that they can think that they have you figured out.
First things first, chill out with the loud slipknot music man. No reason to blast that shit because im sure nobody in the listening distance wants to hear it, its morbid and im gonna go out on a limb here and say that normal people shouldnt be listening to those kind of lyrics. Its not normal, cannot be healthy, and possibly will piss others around you off....
Step back from your side so you can look at both sides, thats the only way you can see this thing without being biased!
