What if that car who hit you has a bad history of doing this to others? You also need to go get that knee seen about by a doctor or at the emergency room, and you typically need to do that within 72 hours. The driver's going to be liable for the damage.

Actually, from the sound of things, it sounds as if you're quite lucky indeed. That accident could have been much worse.
