ANYONE HERE HAVE THEIR GED??
well i got mine back 6 years ago before they changed it and made it harder in my state. its so easy though, just remember the 3 or 5 point essay, i so forgot about that crap. but on the math they give u the formulas on the page and all so its not too bad as long as u havent been outta school too long to forget everything u learned....

ANYONE HERE HAVE THEIR GED??
Holy crap, here I was thinking I was the ONLY person dealing with getting their GED at all, though I'm only 18. I was 2 credits short of actually getting my dimploma and I couldn't do the summer school as it was too espensive, so I'm getting my GED. In my state, I'm required to take 3 tests on Literature, Grammar, and Math before I can even take the practice GED test. I did the three tests today and got all college level scores on the tests, and so next Monday I take the practice test, and the week after that the actual test.
I'm freaking out though, because I don't know much about the GED, never expecting not getting my diploma. Does it hold as much weight as a diploma??

Lol I just noticed it's now June. Far out ~
In Illinois, it's ridiculously easy to get yer GED. You can basically get it in 3 weeks if you only need a few credits, like some of you have mentioned. Some of my friends that dropped out of my old high school all got their GED's way before any of us graduated, and none of these kids were exactly scholars.

ANYONE HERE HAVE THEIR GED??
I got my GED when I was in the Army, because we had some hard labor type work scheduled that day, and I knew they couldn't deny me the opportunity to bail on the work and go take my GED. That was in Arizona. I scored in the 99th percentile, without studying anything, without even knowing I was going to take it until the minute I decided I to do so.
In retrospect, I wish I hadn't taken it, because I was only 1 credit short of graduating high school, and that 1 credit was all elective. So I could have just read some science fiction and whipped out a few book reports and graduated high school. But when I went to try to finish high school, they turned me down, because they said I already had a GED. Kinda got ripped off on that deal, and had I known that was the way it worked ahead of time I definitely would have avoided getting my GED.
As to how easy it is: I guess that depends on how educated you are. Seemed pretty easy to me, waaaaaay easier than CLEP (College Level Examination Program) tests. Way easier than ACT tests too (if those are still used).
