this may be a stupid question but wht exactly does placing a screen/fence (whatever ya call it) over your fields aclomplish.

If you put the screen and let the plant grow, you cna train it to the size you want and produce more bud shoots by trimming. Once you trim during flower the buds get 100% of the light increasing the yield. ( Not 100% sure, correct me if Im wrong )

as I understand it, SCROG (screen of green) simply makes it easier to train the growing stems horizontally, under the screen ... then, the stem will produce buds all along its length, with each bud getting full exposure to the light source ... it works, but be sure you use it in a setup where you have easy access to all plants, as it is a bit of a pain in the ass to keep it trained, if you cant get to the branches easily ... :smokin:
