HERMIE SPERM
ONCE AGAIN, MY BLUEBERRYS HAVE PROVEN TO BE HERMIES. THEY HAVE BRED THEM SELVES, AND MADE SEEDS.
QUESTION IS: IS HERMIE POLLEN HERMIE IN NATURE, OR IS IT REGULAR POLLEN?
MEANING: IF MY HERMIE BLUEBERRY POLLENATES MY COTTONCANDY, WILL THE SEEDS BE HERMIE SEEDS OR BB x COTTONCANDY?
ALSO: THE SEEDS THAT CAME OFF OF THE BLUEBERRY HERMIE,,, ARE THEY HERMIE SEEDS OR CAN THEY GROW FEMALE BABIES?
EVERY BABY I HAVE CLONED OFF OF THESE BLUEBERRIES HAVE HERMIED ON ME.
IS IT TIME TO SHIT CAN THE WHOLE MESS? THNX
P.S. I JUST TRIMED THE LATEST HERMIE, AND FOUND NO MALE FLOWERS. BUT IT HAD TO HAVE BRED ITS SELF. WHATS UP? I NORMALLY FIND THE BALLS OR BANANAS. THERE ARE NO OTHER PLANTS FAR ENOUGH ALONG TO HAVE BALLS YET. I AM SOOO CONFUSED.BOYZNUS Reviewed by BOYZNUS on . HERMIE SPERM ONCE AGAIN, MY BLUEBERRYS HAVE PROVEN TO BE HERMIES. LOL! Boyz you crack me the fuck up.
Blueberry I hear is a VERY easily stressed plant.
The pollen question is great as well, and I'm sorry because I know when you saw that you had a response on this thread you were hoping it was an answer - it's not.
*I'll be watching*

I read about hermies and someone told me they produce feminized seeds.
So you have blueberry feminized seeds in my opinion, but i could be wrong.
Maybe someone more experienced can help you more....

If you turned it hermie. Like with a light leak or stress. You have a good chance it will be all female.
If it is already a hermie. Most likely you will get all hermie seeds. The seeds in the bud of the hermie plant will most likely be hermies no matter what.

I'm not sure but I believe your blueberry seeds will be possible hermies again, especially if you grow in the same environment. 'Hermie made' seeds have a tendency to have hermie offspring BUT it is not always the case.
I believe that if your plant is stressed and male flowers begin to show later in flowering then the offspring are more likely to be feminized. But this time its with a lower possibility of them turning hermie.
I think true hermaphrodite plants are quite rare. It's more likely due to the strain or stressful conditions.
I believe your blueberry x cottoncandy is much more likely to be feminized. I would grow a few of these and take cuttings from the ones that tend to exhibit more of the cotton candy genetics.
Don't take any of this as gospel.

Hermie seeds have a 50% chance of being hermie and more chance being male.
You cannot make femanized seeds at home. It's like a massive selctioin thing and some genes get taken out or something like that. I have no idea, if you wanna know google it and that'll give you the answer, but no, hermie's dont produce femanized seeds.

HERMIE SPERM
I'm no plant biologist boyznus, but from my experiences with cannabis and knowledge from more schooled growers is if your blueberry was pollenated from a hermied blueberry, the beans will be feminized.if it had been from another hermied strain, say skunk#1 crossing to the blueberry female, they wouldn't be feminized.its the passing of the hermie gene that I'm not positive about.I do know from my own experiences with blueberry(which I don't grow anymore due to its finickyness) that light-leaks and not enough temperature variation from light to dark time will mess with blueberry growers.good luck with the BB's.I'd collect the seeds and try a few.with a good eye and persistance you'll be able to pluck any stray male flowers.'Buz
