It always trips me out. I Am The Walrus and Strawberry Fields Forever, Blue Jay Way, Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Fixing A Hole, I am Only Sleeping. The Beatles wrote the best psychedelic songs.

For some reason though kids (I am a kid so I don't know why I say that) have really forgotten about the more lush-flowery side of psychedelia.
Instead all their attention is directed towards astral sounds (i.e. Pink Floyd).

While Floyd is a good band they are all about sound effects and production (Interstellar Overdrive and Pow R. Toc H donâ??t sound that good on a single acoustic guitar, now do they?).

On the other hand The Beatles produced a much more full-bodied sound, they didnâ??t neglect anything. You can play a song like Strawberry Fields Forever on piano, by itself, and it sounds great.

Tommorow never knows, are you familiar with the work that Donovan did at around the same time as the Beatles.

Songs like Atlantis, sunshine superman, mellow yellow, the hurdy gurdy man and colours. Also a lighter poppier relief from the soaring psychedelia of pink floyd. Some of it such as Atlantis is also very beatles esque. I'd say it's well worth a listen.

It is soooo hard to find his stuff these days though. I have Sunshine Superman, Barabajagal and some other songs, but not entire albums. But thats crazy you posted that.
