 IPODS DIRTY SECRET.... u cannot replace the batteryits true, the battery died on my old 1st generation 10 gig ipod not too long ago 
 
 however, i think apple got in trouble for this, and now they have to provide some sort of cheaper support for this battery problem

 IPODS DIRTY SECRET.... u cannot replace the batterywell my iPod mini is almost a year old and I haven't had a single problem with the battery. I usually leave it plugged in all the time unless I'm using it. 
 
 I still love Apple though.
