its true, the battery died on my old 1st generation 10 gig ipod not too long ago

however, i think apple got in trouble for this, and now they have to provide some sort of cheaper support for this battery problem

no you don't, you only have to purchase the movie you you're a week orverdue, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

on the ipod note, my battery totally died after a month and a half of owning it (it's a 4 GB ipod mini). Then after they replaced it the thing died again after 4 months, which I got replaced again (all covered by warranty). Now, my batter won't last more than 1 hour and sometimes won't even charge, and because I've passed 6 months of my "1 year warranty", they're saying I have to pay $45 to cover (yeah right) shipping to send it in again. What kind of load of crap is that where they don't tell you your "1 year warranty" sub-expires 6 months in

well my iPod mini is almost a year old and I haven't had a single problem with the battery. I usually leave it plugged in all the time unless I'm using it.

    I still love Apple though.

Yet you can go to BestBuy and just BUY a NEW battery and install it yourself.
