anyone remember why we're here?

I havnt been on this site very long, but when I first came on as mrabrego, it was a really cool and informative experience. I know changing your name is not the thing to do when you have no reason to do so, but i felt i was too "out there". Anyways, I have noticed a significant change in the general attitude and vibe of the boards, individuals like TC, and karmaxul, and others I dont know about, certainly havnt helped. I really like growing, and helping others with my limited grow knowledge, but its becoming too needy and rude. The individuals whose forums i would read when i started on here, were the ones that really gave me an idea of what I needed to grow, and not just plants. Guys like harddon, GK, turtle, and latewood were the ones I would read over and over. with the events of the pass week and all the kiddies, its been a huge turnoff, and i'm beginning to feel "not safe". I just wanna grow and smoke my own, I'm not a dealer, will never be a dealer, I dont need to make personal friends, I just want to learn and share with people who aske the right questions. Isnt that what we came here for in the first place?

I come here because it's the only place I can talk about growing. I don't talk about it to anyone in real life. So I have to get it off my chest. Thats all.

Well trivium, this started out to be a happiness thread...
Mand is a long time devoted member here and alot of us are distressed that she's so upset. Take 'your' negativity elsewhere. Whether you agree with her or not.

I have seen a lot of the crap threads you start...has anyone flamed you??? because in my opinion you have been flaming mand about her reaction all week!!! what makes you so much better...and you just got here...

Latewood, you're taking this the wrong way bud, what Im saying is that EVERYONE gets stabbed at sooner or later, sure she is a devoted member I didnt say she isnt. I never critisized anything of mand other then when she had decided to make a thread flaming this guy. Latewood go ahead and review my posts, if you saw I got no help and abandond my thread, I got no help because I made 1 thread earlier on how I got no help and then in my grow thread I had no posts, no feed back. Labelled an ASSHOLE, this guy was the same, labelled an asshole , I was sticking up for him, this is happening around the boards right NOW as we speak. Whos going tob e there to tell it how it is if Im not, you're treating her so much different because she's devoted, Ive been on this site everyday more than 9 times a day just that I joined not too long ago and Im I guess not a devoted member, I contribute to the best of what I can but I dont care if that makes me devoted or not.

I agree, the kiddie situation is a real problem. I just read a thread where a 13 year old wants growing advice, and everyone is trying to talk him out of it. Now, I started smoking weed when I was 12, but I certainly would know better than to grow it in my parent's home! In fact, at 12 (I am46), I wouldn't even know you COULD grow it!

I have a nice quiet site you would LOVExxx, if you are interested...It is much slower than this site, but is loaded with wonderful people I think you would enjoy. Thanks for the link, Latewood. I would love to stop over from time to time, but I gotta tell ya, that green background is horrid and I don't think I could stand to stay over there for long because of it! Otherwise it looks like a good and informative site. I won't leave canna.com though, it has been a godsend to me in help for growing my first batch. I'm still not having much luck, but I know everything I need to know and I owe it to canna.com.

I think the rash of stupid kiddie questions in the grow forums should not be answered with anything other than a link directing them to the FAQ section. Answering them will only encourage them to keep a dialog up asking more stupid questions.
