You left out DWC! Also wick, hand watered and probably others.
I know for a fact that DWC is a big yielding method. Have a look at White Snoops grow for example.
Latewood will also vouch for DWC.
Although for a large scale setup it sounds like drip would be less maintenance.

All are good and it seems to be what works for you. However most are using a drip system or a bubbler (DWC). These run 24/7 mainly because you don't have to mess with timers and trying to get the water schedual right for that system.
5 gallon buckets like water farm or hydro farm can really grow big trees. If that's what you want. Remember you have to have good light to grow trees.

As loc said, DWC produces huge trees when vegged long enough. I would only grow trees w/ a 600+ lamp. You can still use DWC and not grow trees..just cut your veg time back. If you plan on 1-4 plants use DWC, 4+ plants use a drip. There both great systems and are easy to build, maintain, and clean. NFT works well But you grow smaller plants IMO.
I myself am stuck on DWC for now due to the crazy veg rate and yeild.[COLOR=\"DarkGreen\"][SIZE=\"3\"]What dosent kill you makes you stronger

I use a bucket setup that is flood and drain that works great you do need alot of water/nutes but way less then a table. I think the drips are the probaly the best since they use the least water. So if you are using an expensive line like advanced at $900 a grow it should cut that in half so you could get 2 grows out of 1 batch of nutes. I am thinking of converting mine

Those are all just the growing method. The experience, budget and room you have to grow is more of a consideration then how you grow.
But the most important thing is that you do grow!!

flood & drain is quite easy for beginners, but as with any system you must nail down what your strain likes: watering schedule, nute strength, etc...

What's the best?
What's the best ice cream? What's the best car? What's the best dog?
The best hydro system for beginners, all things considered, is DWC, in my opinion. It is very easy and produces fantastic results. The best hydro system for advanced students is fogging. It is not easy to do correctly, and produces fantastic results.
Different strokes, and such.
