Here's the thread in question: http://boards.cannabis.com/showthrea...615#post762615
Professor "Elder" Steven E. Jones - a Book of Mormon literalist "Elder"
OnlyMyOpinion: Jones, as an Elder in LDS, agrees with Book of Mormonā??s view that American Indians are descendants of ancient Hebrews, among many other absurdities, contradictions, scientific impossibilities, and historical errors.
The King James Bible, and other versions of the Old and New Testaments, are bad - but this book, written in 1823 by founder Joseph Smith, takes Judeo Christianity to a new level of craziness and ignorence.
Professor Steven E. Jones, of Brigham Young University, whom InfoWars seems to think is a reliable source for proving that planes alone didn't bring down the WTC towers, is an elder in the Church of Latter Day Saints. He has beliefs that are grounded in theology, and accepts superstition over science. B.K.

Jonesā??ReligiousBeliefs
"Professor Steven E. Jones, in his lecture, mentioned that he got involved in the 9/11 Truth movement after attending a lecture in Orem by Sarah Menet, the author of "There Is No Death." I was at that same lecture in May 2005. It was very motivational, mostly about preparing for disaster and events prophecied in The Book of Revelations. The lecture was directed towards a majority LDS audience, but was informative and enjoyable for all. You can read more about Sarah Menet at www.thereisnodeath.com and in her book. Her story is very interesting, and as with the 9/11 Truth Movement, whether or not you believe her experience, it's definitley worth looking into. Professor Jones said his wife dragged him out to this lecture and he didn't know exatly what information would be presented. Near the end of her lecture Sarah talked about the government and corruption and that 9/11 was an inside job. That got Professor Jones wanting to learn more and he did; now he is a valuable asset to the 9/11 Truth Movement
http://www.thereisnodeath.com/ About Sarah Menet, who has a large influence on the theories of Prof. Steven E. Jones/
http://www.thereisnodeath.com/
Sarah Menet was pronounced dead but she did not die. Her near death experience (NDE) is one of the most extensive ever recorded. Sarah not only visited the beautiful spirit world, describing the people, their dress, activities, and buildings; but she also visited what could be called "hell" and describes the torment of those committed to that terrible place. She also received answers to many questions such as:
Why are terrible things allowed to happen to good people?
Is there a purpose to life here on earth?
Why is it important to treat others with respect?
Is it important to be good?
Is there such a thing as deja vu?
Is there such a thing as reincarnation?
What are some of the difficulties that may lie ahead for us on earth?
Sarah was also shown several future events. She saw tall buildings in New York collapsing amidst smoke and debris and people running years before 9/11. This was the beginning of other calamities which were to include a great plague suddenly striking several cities in the United States, a nuclear war, and other devastating events.Breukelen advocaat Reviewed by Breukelen advocaat on . P.S. Gumby:
If you feel so strongly about this, and refuse to come to New York City where it happened, YOU can "Fuck off".
As far as having "balls", I've got nothing to prove. I'm still here, and you're not. YOU believe crackpots - and it shows.
Psycho, my offer still stands - Come to NYC and I'll give you the "tour".

i didn't say I refused... I said I can't... sorry I can't afford to drop everything and take a trip to NY.... All I asked was for you to post something with information... and thank you for doing that...
my statment was meant as if you are not willing to defend your side because it hits too close to home, why attack my view?? Aren't you still talking about the same thing, thinking the same thought?? you're arguement for not providing any information on why you believe what you believe is what I was questioning... not the fact that you believe it...
although I can only find the fact that Jones "...has beliefs that are grounded in theology, and accepts superstition over science." and his religious beliefs as facts/reason for doubt... well what about what the guy that I think did it thinks??
"I don't know that atheists should be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."-- George Bush
I don't think his religious beliefs are of sound or rational mind and are more fucked up than Jones'... BUT Jones has stated the seperation of him and his school... he has noted his unpopularity about this and has accepted it... I did not once hear God or religion come into play in his 2 hour lecture in the 'get smarter' link in my sig... he taught like any other teacher teaching factual information would teach...
So, like I said... if you want to trust what 1 person told you on 9/11 let it be... but if you want to join in and say it wasn't an inside job, please just say why.
Breuk, I think nothing bad about you and think you have one of the most open minds on here... but I just hope you see me frustration and anger about this comes from the fact that no one can explain the terrorist theory to me in a rational way... all I've seen from the terrorist theory is attacks against the inside job theory... no facts supporting terrorist, or information to read about what happened... just attacks about those who don't think like you...
that's why I said you have no balls, not cause you are not good a debate, but that you weren't doing it at all... information is all I want... not attacks on sources... if you wanna attack a source provide contradictory information.
by the way you never told me what you thought of the 9/11 eyewitness movie... the one from the guy who was there and taped the whole thing that day... the only other persons word I've heard and the only person who showed facts about that day who was actually there... I mean he spent the time and money to create that to defend his view and you couldn't even link me to a page that said Jones was a Mormon??
I know he's a teacher at BYU... I have it linked in my sig, do you really think I wouldn't listen to the lecture and link it there?? All I was asking for was something that could help me not believe him... but if his religious beliefs are all you got, ha....

Here is a site that does more debunking of 9/11 conspiracy theories than I have ever seen:
http://us.geocities.com/debunking911/index.htm
P.S. I was told by an architect in NYC, on 9/11, that the WTC towers would collapse from the plane attacks - which is exactly what happened.
If you came to New York City now, you wouldn't see much left at Ground Zero - but the people that experienced it are still here.

Guys...what makes you think the government's report on 9/11 is false? I mean come on! It's the 21st century! I think we can believe the government when it comes to a serious matter like this. "Oh Bush did 9/11!". Damn conspiracy nuts! Where is your proof??!! We all saw the damn planes hit the towers. I will never forget that day.
No country is perfect, but America sure does beat the competition!

I've seen just about every piece of evidence and anti-evidence there is out there. I've come to the conclusion that something shady did happen on 9/11. I don't buy any of the conspiracy theories that it was the Illuminati or George Bush, or the Zionists; I only look at the evidence.
Skyscrapers shouldn't be falling at free-fall speeds, especially one that wasn't even hit by an air plane. And the Feds wanted Rec tapes of every camera that captured the plane hitting the pentagon within moments of the crash. They moved ten times faster to get those tapes than the time it took to get any air-defense around NY.
I just know something fishy happened.
