hi dave.... I suspect there has been a typo o of some sort.... if your friend harvested 2.2pounds using only one 1000 watt hps then she did very very well.... and I actually suspect that it is not true...

it takes a tremendous stain and and a very caring grower to achieve such a yield.. especially with only one bulb...
if it were 2 600 watt bulbs it would be more realistic..

sheist... if you grow 4 plants like hardon suggested you will need to grow them relativly big... (flowering at 20-24 inches) and you would probably want to to them off or give them some severe bending/traing....

if you are not concerned about the number of plants.... you shoud consider 16 plants and organize them into a square foot print, no bigger than 4x4 feet.... flower them at 10 - 12 inches and keep the light (1000 watt hps) as CLOSE as possible... 12 inches or less...

using this method you can achieve 2ounces a plant...

if you grow 4 plants... big.... with a 1000 watt hps, you would be very fortunate to get 6 ounces per plant.. unless you added great side lighting..

good luck

My children did pretty good til I tried to force flower, however because my LED system never came, my plants couldn't handle it n failed.. I DEFINITELY had a war of words with the LED man.. Oh well, but I decided to stick to the conventional method that got me started in the first place, CFL, and money is no longer an issue.. I still have my liquid nutes n my superthrive n all the goods.. I got a couple 100w CFLs coming in.. 800w Rating: 5
