It is impossible to understand everything, and I think the hardest thing to grasp is yourself and why say or do or believe something; because that is your entire world. Reality is given to you through smell, taste, sight, touch, and sound. Ok, thats easy. A stimulis and response to your world if you look at it at a physiological level. But you determine the rules of your world by these experiences, so you are different from everyone else. So my question boils down to this. Does nirvana come from outside or within? Are you enlightened because you learn what you read in books or experience? Or is it all how you take something in, and then decide what you want from it? We learn to improve the situation, or we learn to improve ourselves.

I assume this. You first have to conquer and control yourself before you can conquer the world. But in doing so, in this perfect self control, you have changed the way you see the world, and how it affects you. And this in itself is conquering the world.
