"Experienced gardener" put behind bars after a startling discovery
KHQ-TV
USA - The Sheriff's department is calling him "an experienced gardener," but what he was growing has landed the Riverside, Washington man behind bars.
The Sheriff's department arrested 45-year-old James Tefft on Thursday for growing marijuana in his backyard. He was growing the plants in pairs, underneath towering trees on his property, in hopes they wouldn't be seen from up above.
To his surprise, his operation eventually got sniffed out. Sheriff's investigators hauled away 32 plants ranging from two to seven feet tall. A Fish and Game agent made the discovery several weeks ago when he was tracking an injured deer on Tefft's property.
That led to the investigation and to Thursday's bust. Dave Reagan, from the Sheriff's department said, "Drug guys say he's grown them before.somebody that knows horticultures."
Investigators say Tefft watered his plants using PVC piping that ran from his mobile home throughout his backyard. Detectives were hoping to execute a second-degree search warrant later in the evening to check inside his home for more marijuana.Dope Chic Reviewed by Dope Chic on . Yip, it really sucks...I live in South Africa and here the police are just as bad...big busts are on the news at least once a month, but in the mean time the hijacking, murdering statistics just keep rising...It really blows, but I've decided that i will never leave this country cos then they'd won...
I think we seriously need some activisism in this country. If anyone has some please post some info on movemets, etc. hapning in South Africa...

They haven't even caught these guys yet. Since when is reporting a pot bust more important than reporting 2 drive-bys, which you almost never hear about anyways coz they don't happen but once in a blue moon in Spokane? You'd think that these stories would be their main objective because its so rare. It's not like this guy was a raving lunatic with a gun that was all cracked out...he was just a normal guy tending his garden...that happened to be weed. Go figure.

You would have thought they would have figured out by now It takes more than calling something an "epidemic", "Declaring war on it", and passing stricter laws on it, and creating "specal taskforce", When the world could take Amsterdam's example, by suporting their drug culture, they have some of the lowest violent crimes, granted they are a smaller nation, but just think if everyone smoked out in the U.S. how much crime would drop. Well except for those M.F. bong thiefs running around ruining someones Buzz!
