like grim said during the dark period the plant releases hormone whick promotes flower growth, this one is the reasons ur turn ur fans off during the dark.

WOW I didnt know I should turn my fan off at night?????
Ive never heard this before. hmmm so, basically they flower faster or better with fan off? Anyone else do this?

PARANOIA... guess I skipped that day in class long ago :P I know photosyntheses uses light to turn it into energy using co2 and excreating o2. but that about as far a my knowledge on the subject goes :P

In school long ago we put a leaf and stem into a water filled jar with a hose comming out of the top. We then shined a light on the plant and we say bubbles of o2 being released. More light, more bubbles. And the results were IMediate.. This was way cool to me as a youngster. Always remembered it.
