Whats the difference????
Different highs.
Indica gives you the couch lock effect which makes you just want to sit on the couch and relax, body stone follows after smoking.
Sativa is a head high which usually makes me talk alot more and makes me energetic, its more uplifting.

Whats the difference????
They're both cannabis. Cannabis sativa, and cannabis indica. Here's some pictures, I think I originally got them from kush over. Don't know where he got them from.
Yep, sativas grow big and long and indicas are short and bushy. Sativas also take longer to flower.Mira el foto grande

Whats the difference????
Alot of strains out there are sativa based, but normally the skunks are a cross, at about 70 -80% sativa and 20 -30% indica.
I prefer indica, the couchlock is good fun.
Sativa is ok, but i dont like moving when im stoned.

sativa , is a tall plant, generally between 8 and 12 feet. The leaves have long thin fingers and are light green. The more equatorial varieties have more yellow pigments to protect the plant from intense light. Sativa buds are long and thin and turn red as they mature in a warm environment. In cooler environments the buds may be slightly purple. Sativa plants smell sweet and fruity and the smoke is generally quite mild. It is a source of fiber for rope and other products and it contains THC which gives smokers the psychic effects they seek. The leaves of this plant are smoked but the most highly prized part of the plant is the top, Sativa plants give a, almost euphoric high, soaring high in fact. sativas generally have a longer flowering period..
indica, is plentiful in the Mideast, India, and Central Asia especially Afghanistan, Kashmire, and Pakistan. It is a short plant, generally between 3 and 6 feet, and its leaves have short broad fingers. The leaves are generally dark green sometimes tinged with purple. As they near maturity, the leaves may become significantly more purple. It is a strong smelling plant with a "stinky" or "skunky" smell. The smoke of indicas is generally thick and more prone to cause coughing when inhaled. Indicas are the traditional source of hashish. also has a shorter flowering time of about 7-8 weeks of 12/12,
ruderalisis a debated third variety of cannabis found in Russia, Poland, and other eastern Europen countries. Schultes classified cannabis as having three species: sativa, indica, and ruderalis based on the formation of the seed pods. There is some debate as to whether there is justification for this third category. Some features of ruderalis are large seeds, short weedy plants (4-6 feet tall) and a lower level of thc than sativas or indicas.
Hybidization( Cross Breeding),Nowdays there are 100's if not 1000's of hybrid crosses, basically meaning breeding programs throughout europe, especially holland and switzerland, mergedgenes from indica plants with sativa plants in varying ratio's, from 10% indica 90% sativa, or maybe 50% 50% indica/sativa... Crossing the genes of the two different types of cannabis has resulted in :
long flowering time of Sativas have been reduced drastically without much loss of sativa dominant taste and yield.
There is a medley of tastes depending on which 2 parent plants were crossed and the percentage of each individual parent plants genes, these factors all effect the taste and growing characteristics. Breeding stable varieties that are uniform in gene spread with each batch of seed, is a daunting task, which is why we have stuck with only trusted established seed breeder/suppliers.
