    What are these?

Please tell me these are not balls about to sprout, but rather pods. They have been that way (slightly swollen (first picture)) for quite some time. The pistils have already sprouted and 2nd wk of flower. My friend is worried his plant might go hermie. He started using superthrive also.

yeah, but unless it is a true female, there is the possibility of it going hermie, given certain conditions of course. Those bumps just look like they could turn into balls.

lol.. those lomps at the base of the leaf are leaf nodes , ur plant is a female u can be sure of that , plant will turn hermie more likely from stress than anything else, a plant will even produce sum male flowers in a last dying act to pollenate itself towards the end of flowering. But take it from me thats a lady u have at the minute and unless shes turns into sum crazy PMT biatch and stresses herself to the max , she will remain that way.
    ihope this helps

If you see male pollen sacks, I don't yet...Superthrive won't do a thing for you, but make them grow faster...

you need to by some Dutch master reverse, and if you get reverse and spray your girl in time...then those balls might turn back to buddage...goodluck

i believe it is, i also doubt those will turn to male pollen sacks coz theyve been there for the past 4-5 or so weeks. Just bulging. SH, when you say nodes, u think other fan leaves (fingers will grow from there?) I never heard of that, nodes growing between secondary growth and main stem. Then again, that does not nec. mean it does not happen.

you said "lomps at base of the leaf", thats at the base of the secondary gowth stem, adj. to the main stem.
