i water when the top inch or so is dry on the soil then i water them till it seeps thru the bottom of the pot then leave it

I WATER WHEN THE POTS FEEL LIGHT, ABOUT EVERY 3 DAYS. WHEN IT IS CRUCHY ON THE TOP OF THE SOIL, I FLUFF IT UP, TO HELP THE WATER FLOW DOWN. I LET ABOUT 1 QUART OF EXTRA WATER FLOW THRU.

I ALSO USE THESE NEAT THINGS I FOUND AT "BIG LOTS!". $3.99 EACH.

THEY HOLD 1 GALLON OF WATER AND WATER AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT. ALL AUTOMATICLY. THEY WORK SOOO KOOL. I USE EM WHEN I HAVE TO SPLIT FOR 3 OR MORE DAYS.

i lift the pot and if it feels light i water throughly from the top with a 1 gal jug every so about every 2-3 days roughly

why: i over watered a couple of times and it blows better under than over i allways say

I SET IT FOR ONCE A DAY, 500ml EACH WATERING. ( POTS ARE 4 gl)

IT GIVES EM JUST ENOUGH TO NOT DIE.

YOU CAN SET EM FOR ANY HWERE FROM 5 TIMES A DAY TO ONCE EVERY 5 DAYS, AND FROM .01ml UP TO 1000ml.

I water about every 2-3 days when the top is crunchy and brittle, then i take my finger and dig a hole about a 1/2 inch deep and if it's dry that s a def indicator.

i water about every 2-4 days... same method, i will dig my finger in a little bit and feel for moisture.... and then lift the pots and feel the weight....

when i do water i water until it drains loosley out of the holes

I use one of the 5 dollar probe meter things and also lift to see how much it weighs. Also, I store 30 gallons of water in a dark area so the chlorine burns off after few days.

i use a moisture meter and when it reaches 3 i water. but Boyznus i like your method, i have a self watering system and will be testing it out shortly. going to the bahamas in 3 weeks.
