is Internet suitable to find new friends?

Hey guys: question...

If the intention of this community is to bring people of the same interest together (by that i mean drugs of course ) and hoping that people find other people to whom they can relate, does that mean that Internet IS suited for making friends afterall?

I always think of people who visit datingsites and friendchats and stuff (and maybe even communities) as rather sad... Not being able to make 'normal' friends. Or as people who pretend to be really cool, while they are NOT cool at all in real life. Is this community different then, and why? Or are we just all a bunch of sad losers trying to find people like ourselves, not knowing if the person on the other side of the world is indeed the shroomloving person he says he is...

What do you think?

No because we dont really pretend to be cool do we and anyone who pretends to smoke weed on here that doesnt it just weird and sad.

Are we are not looking on the internet for other desperate people who are gagging for sex or marriage or whatever it is.

Alright, you caught me me! I'm a complete fake, a loser, and I've never smoked weed in my entire life. I don't even know what it smells like, much less feel like after taking a huge bong rip. My eyes don't ever go red, my mind never opens, and I've never experienced the 'munchies'.

The only reason I come here is in attempt to look 'cool' because we all know that using mary jane is as cool as it gets, lol!

Marijuana has such a negative social stigma, it's no wonder why so many gather at a site like this. The real world reality is that MJ use is often looked down upon...

Is coming to this site and posting sad? NO! Is it needed? YES! Is it fun? ALWAYS!

I love this place! Aside from a few good friends who smoke, this is the only place I can come to, and just be myself.

I agree with ya on that but make sure you have a friend with ya for at least the first encounter....better safe than sorry! That movie is kind of extreme but there are cases where younger people disappear because of internet encounters.

Your right about young people..I see specials about Myspace ALL the time concerning pedophiles..and dateline even set some up..one guy brought his very young son with him to meet what he thought was a 14 year old boy etc...It was over 2 years ago when I last met someone from the net but I would again for the right person..I think predators know who to target and who not to..who will be missed..who has family..who will fight..etc..
