Well I was contacted by a girl who comes on the boards and we met up, got on great and now we are good friends. I've met quite a lot of people off the net, some Ive stayed n touch with, some I havent. I do think you need to be careful , but the net isnt totally full of weirdos, you just have to take precautions and use your head

and to reply to 420mory's original post, i have met many ppl here who i consider friends, some who have helped me in many different ways, but i don't let that interfere with my "real life" or my "real life friends"... but.. alot of my friends are busy with work and families and such, so posting here and talkin in the chat room fills my otherwise "boring" time.. in other words, i'd rather spend my time chatting to ppl from all over the world than to just sit and watch tv and become braindead.. that answer any questions?

I figure the type of people that come to these boards are potheads it is cannibis.com some reasons why one would come here is to learn how to grow, noobs who have no idea where to find this information and the internet is there source, also people who are activists to the pro marijuana movement

I like the information here but also wanted to actually meet like minded people..so far..haven't actaully met anyone from this board..but there are good people I have met from other boards..some folks like stepping outside their own circle sometimes and even knowing your next door neighbor for years does not assure safety..I know what my "good" neighbors would do concerning mj..so I don't think it is a sad thing to attempt to meet new people that I have common interests with.

I prefer real life models. People I can stare in the eyes. Eyes never lie. You can never be sure that people will tell the truth on the internet, basically because they are never confronted face to face with the people they tell their stories. I would never be as gullible on the internet as in day to day life.

I do like the internet of course. You can find loads of information from reliable sources, if you take the time to look for them. And it's a great way of staying in touch with people you do not see regularly. I spent a year abroad and it's way to expensive to call everybody every now and then, but emails, yeah...

I agree with ya on that but make sure you have a friend with ya for at least the first encounter....better safe than sorry! That movie is kind of extreme but there are cases where younger people disappear because of internet encounters.
