    Sativa or Indica?

I think some people can tell by the leaves if its a full plant whether its an indica or a sativa

    Sativa or Indica?

You can tell by the buds if the strain is sativa or indica dominant because Sativa's are said to be much taller than Indica strains grow and the buds are spaced out but indica's buds are mostly compact...and you can also tell by the leaves...Sativa leaves are mostly skinny and Indica's are fat and wide...

    Sativa or Indica?

orangeman is right. But if the buds are trimmed then it is almost impossible to tell other than the high, maybe. If you saw the plant it would be fairly easy to tell by the leaves.

I can tell if the buds are trimmed too.
Sativas grow different. But mostly you can tell by the skinny fan leaf pettals. And the buds grow way longer and skinnier.
So a trimmed sativa bud would also have these traits.

    Sativa or Indica?

its easy. a sativa has thin leaves, and mostly originate from place in or near South America. Indica leaves are around the same leanght but much fatter, usually alot more in the middle.
    huh?

    Sativa or Indica?

And usually, but not always, Sativa's generally have more leaflets per leaf. For instance, it's not uncommon to see a sativa leaf that has up to 11 leaflets, where with Indica's, it's usually common for them to have either 5 or 7 leaflets. Like others have said, sativa leaflets are long and skinny, with more leaflets per leaf, where indica leaflets are usually very wide, with less leaflets per leaf.

Cannabis strains with the name "Kush" in them, usually are indica. That's because it's from the Kush Mountains somewhere in Asia. Cannabis strains with the name "haze" in them, are usually sativa dominant.

If you are unsure what your pot is, plant a seed, grow it, and you'll be able to tell if it's indica dominant or sativa dominant, or, if you're lucky you'll get pure sativa or pure indica, although that is less common, due to hybridization now a days.

    Peace,
    horror business :rasta:
[align=center]Cannabis has done nothing but help myself and others I know. It is a beneficial plant. Anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant and/or brainwashed. It should not be illegal anywhere in the world.

    Sativa or Indica?

Generally the thing to look for in living cananbis plants when attempting to identify it's species is to look at it's leaflets. The longer, narrow leaflets are inherent to cannabis sativa whereas the shorter, wider leaflets are inherent to cannabis indica.

Another thing to look for when identifying the species of a living cannabis plant is to look at it's color. Due to the geological position of landrace cannabis indica [ 30° ~ 50° North/South latitude ], it possesses a visibly darker green appearance in comparison to cannabis sativa due to more chlorophyll on the leaf surfaces. Landrace cannabis sativa, which grows comfortably anywhere on the equator [ 30° North/South latitude ], possesses less chlorophyll on it's leaflets than cannabis indica, but does not require the additional chlorophyll because it's receiving slightly more intense radiation.

It'd be very difficult to find the exact species of your bud, but you could generally say that sativa varieties will have more spacing between the nodes. Hope you have a stalk of buds and not just nugs, then.

    Sativa or Indica?

I depend what kind of high you want. Indica gives you that body high effect, bud the Sativa, more to the head effect. Pure Sativa can take 6-9 month to get fully mature bud Indica close to 6-8 weeks. More Sativa tends to get realy high so not sutable for inside growing. If you ask me try to get 70-80% indica.
