EPSOM SALT!!!

My friend got tested by his Probation Officer the other day, and the night before he was tested he smoked(He smokes 2-3 times EVERY day for the last year). Unknown to him at the time, the weed he smoked was laced with speed. Later that night, he filled up a water bottle about a quarter the way up with Epsom Salt, and the rest with water. He finished the whole water bottle full of water and Epsom Salt mix that night along with more water. The next morning when he took his test, he came out completely clean of all Cannabis, but he showed up Positive for Speed! Does anyone know if Epsom Salt has been proven to work, or was my friend just a fluke?
