I'd like to suggest a limit of 2 consecutive replys by the same person on the same thread, especially a thread started by that person.
This Ed Ward guy has been self bumping his own threads to the top, on the Activism, Politics, and Legal boards, by continuously replying to his own replies.

Hard to ignore Trolls, if they can keep trolling themselves to the top, making more relevant threads sink.

i know what youre saying, but i gotta disagree
if you start a thread, and it ends up gettin alot of replies, it would suck to only be able to post 2 more times in the whole thread.. ive started a load of threads with 10, 20, 30+ replies, a few being mine.. people ask questions etc, so how are you supposed to carry on the conversation, topic or answer any of their questions or ask more questions yourself? its not logical, it wouldnt make much sense.. but i know what ur saying, i just think it would suck lol
Edit: maybe if it was obvious that the person is purposely bumping their threads to the top, then the mods should do something about it.. that would be a good idea, if there were more mods, but unfortunately there arent.. even though the mods we do have at the moment do a great job

Just 2 in a row.
Once you made 2 in a row on the same thread, you'd have to wait for someone else to post on that thread before you could reply again.

But it's still early.
I'm not as impatient as you are, Ed.
We'll see what happens after a few months of me continually bumping it up to the top to prove my point.
And what reason was it that you replied to yourself 3 and 4 times in that thread?

"We thank you for your support."

"By the way, many of our viewers wonder why Ed doesn't ever talk. Well, for the last 5 years, he's had this bottle up his ass."
