    Carisma's Mothers finest...

    Hi all,
thought I'd share the first few pics of my second grow...

    Strain: Mothers Finest
Started: Around end of April, first planted outdoor on balcony with little direct light.
Indoor Lights: 125W Nuturelight Daylight(6400K) for veg, 125W Nuturelight Warm White(2700K) for Flowering
Note: Second grow. First grow with a specific strain instead of bagseed. The bagseed died on me, likely due to heat issues from the HPS.

May 22nd - Removed the HPS 600W light due to heat/noise considerations and due to the lux being on the low side at plants level(around 11'000). Installed the Nuturelight 125W CFL(gives around 20'000+ Lux at plant level, off scale)

May 23rd - took those buggers inside the growing cabinet under 24/0 and gave them a bit Rhizotonic including full watering

Pics are from May 23rd where I just took them inside under 24/0 with the CFL.

    Current Temp readings: 24.8C
Next post with updated pics from today...

May 25th, update with pics from today.
They appear to really like the CFL from what I can tell.

What do you think? Hmm, the preflowers look female or am I dreaming...

Image-Reaper: You're right about the preflowers...sheesh. It turned out they are just a bunch of new leafs after all... lol, seems I was just too desperate. Last time I smoked was in January, so yeah, wouldn't mind them hurrying a bit

busteruk7: I have no intention of actually separating them. I'll be cutting out the male(s) as soon as I see them and will leave only 1 or 2 females even if all of them turn out to be female after all. The third and smallest plant is an error anyway...lol. I tried to germinate 3 seeds, 2 of them sprouted roots and one did not, though I still toss it into the soil. Was strange seeing the thing actually grow.

Will be posting a few more pics either tomorrow or the day after. Will need to install a fan or two that blows a bit at the plants themselfs to tighten up that stem.
The room actually started smelling yesterday, may 25th. Looks like I'll need to install the carbon filter soon, likely within a week or two latest.

    Cheers,
    Carisma

Here's an update from today, May 28th.

They appear to do fine, though I think they need a little water soon. I'll add some nutes for the first time, something like half the strength of canna vega. Wonder if it'd be ok to still add some Rhizotonic with it?

What do you think? Is it ok to top them tomorrow and put them into flowering the week after? The first 5 bladed leaf is growing rapidly at the moment. I can almost see them growing, heh.

    Cheers,
    Carisma

    Hello all,

here's an update from May, 29th.

I previously intended to top the plants, however since they're growing too dense, I cannot do this without me hurting other parts of if, so I'll just bend them over a bit while the stem is not too stick yet.

I'd like to induce flowering very soon. What do you think about that?
They're about 15cm and have internodes, so I'd expect it to go fine.

A big question however... Since I've got 2 lights, Envirolite 6400K(daylight) and Envirolite 2700K(warm white, lots of red), should I switch the light immediately when going to 12/12 or should I wait a few days(let's say 4-5) until I change the light type?

Unfortunately I can't have both in there at the same time, heat and size restrictions apply.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

    Cheers,
    Carisma

It looks like they could go another 2 maybe 3 weeks before you flower. You really seem to be rushing things a bit, which will lead to a bad harvest.
