hid or floro's ?

hey everyone..


i've got another thread posted, and in that thread there are a bunch of different people that think i should give my plants floros for a little while, and then start the 1000w later..
now i've been reading other people's threads, people that seem to have nice grows going, and they have used their HID from veg to flower..
some say that the HID will make it grow quicker..
can this be why I see my plants growing slow?
i'm giving them 12 hours of 1000w MH, and 12 hours of 4 different floro's..
they 1000w is about 4.5ft above the top of plants..
it gets sooo hott in there though w/ the damn HID going... i am going to construct some type of door this weekend that i can cut into to make intake/outake fan's.. hopefully that'll keep it cool..

but anyways, my question is ,
if i build this door, and i have a strong fan sucking air directly out of reflector, and cool air going in.. should i still use the floro's or is it okay to give them 24 hrs of MH...
and if it is , how close should i have the light?

Ok, your plants are seedling yes? and you got a 1000 watt MH?

Put them under fluos untill they are about 5 inches high, then put them under the HID, be it HPS or MH.

This way the plants wont have as much of a shock.

if your plants are mature enough to handle 1000 watts for 12 hours, then thry can handle it for 18+ hours...

you should consider giving your plants at least 1 hour of dark every 24 hours...

ya what they said also when you start useing the mh lights you could use the floros around the sides for light under the leaf canopy
